Learned my lesson the hard way -- any minor claim causes them to up your rates by ridiculous amounts. Save the claims (and your money) in case something big ever happens. In fact, when this did happen to me I came across the trend of "self-insurance" where you sock away enough to cover your deductible in case something big did happen. Then you keep upping the deductible to match what you've socked away. Saves big bucks and you're betting on nothing bad happening (which is a good way to live anyway, right?) :) I’d recommend not sending something like this through insurance in the future.
